A little over a year ago, I posted sequin shorts as the first trend on Stellar Put Togethers. In celebration of Stellar’s one year birthday (hooray!!), I decided to shoot a second round of sequin shorts (after all, it is hard to get sick of these spectacular shorts). I also wanted to capture the progress I’ve made in only one year.
I started out taking these pictures in my loft apartment when I was a student living in Boston. I literally had NO photography experience other than your typical tourist snapshots and bar photos with a pocket camera. When that camera died, I upgraded to a fancy Canon S90 (a cross between an SLR and pocket camera. and no, I was not paid to say that). With the help of MANY friends and photographers I was seeing my pictures get better and better.
I still have a lot to achieve in the world of photography, but thankfully, I am a STYLIST, not a photographer. With that said, I am super excited to see what these photos are going to look like a year from now (and yes, I probably will do sequin shorts round III).

Your skills have improved by leaps and bounds!! If your looking for tips I would buy a “how to” photography book. I got one as a gift and it has helped a lot with my food photography.
hmmmm…a book…what a novel idea!
